What Do The Terms Mean?
We sell “quarters” and “halves,” which are two of the most common sizes for a good dinner lobster. Despite their names, these are whole, adult lobsters. You are not getting a quarter or a half of anything! Many people consider these to be the most flavorful lobsters sizes as well, since the longer a lobster lives, the tougher the meat often becomes.
Quarter lobsters can weigh anywhere from 1.25 to 1.49 lbs and will typically yield 3-4 oz of meat. These are the most plentiful lobsters in Maine and they are delicious for surf and turf or for serving with side dishes. Halves weigh between 1.5 and 1.75 lbs and usually yield between 3.6 and 4.8 oz of meat. We recommend halves if lobster is going to be the centerpiece of the meal.

Important note: Due to heightened delivery volume and unexpected weather delays, we recommend placing your order for delivery at least 2-3 days before your occasion to ensure an on-time arrival. Please note, frozen items will need to thaw upon arrival.

We ship overnight to ensure your seafood arrives 1 day after shipping. We offer FREE SHIPPING on all orders, and do not charge an extra fee for Saturday delivery. You will be asked to select your delivery date at checkout. Delivery is available Tuesday through Saturday in most areas. If selecting a Saturday, you will be asked to check your zip code at checkout to confirm availability. Tracking information will be emailed to you when your order ships.
